This field work was done on a Thursday (4th May, 2017) and two Saturdays (6th and 13th May, 2017). This report is a summary of all outings. The aim of these outing was to sensitize sports men and women and the public in general on the importance of managing stress, the need to check one’s B.P before embarking on strenuous exercising and to conduct a free B.P check for all who were available. During these three days, these were all achieved.
Our stand was stationed at the exercising spot of Omoba Fitness Club who gave us a welcoming hand and through whom we gained entrance into the field. Mr. Omoba is the second executive officer of the field. After each day’s outing for the three days we gave a tip of about two thousand naira as appreciation.
Dr. Mrs. Dumebi engaged various clubs in the field on the topic – stress management, introducing our anti-stress tonic and our doppel heiz products. Some of these clubs include, FESTAC All Stars, Omoba Fitness Club and etc. From the B.P check conducted we advised some sport people to immediately withdraw from any further sporting exercise and some others not to start any at exercise at all (for those who checked before starting any working exercise). It was an eye opener for most of the participants as they were made to understand the reason for sudden collapse of experienced sport men and women in the sport field; the reason being a rise and unchecked B.P before exercising.
The health talk and consultation was given for free. We shared our handbills and sold our anti-stress tonic and doppel heiz products. The whole office was in attendance for this program- Dr. Mrs. Dumebi Nwosu, Pst. Azeez Lawal, Esther Abah, Chika and Maryjane Olime. The attendance to the field was overwhelming but the average response to our desk for these days was about sixty persons.
